Nottely and Nice

Nottely & Nice is a charming cabin tucked on the banks of the Nottely River in Blairsville. It is conveniently located just off Gainesville Highway (129/19), an easy 3-mile drive north to downtown Blairsville or just under 5 miles south to Vogel State Park. No long and winding roads to worry about! It is the perfect spot if you are interested in traveling about to the nearby parks, Brasstown Bald, a quick drive up to Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino in Murphy, NC to test your luck or venturing towards Blue Ridge or Hiawassee to enjoy the area lakes, shops and restaurants. Nottely & Nice is 9 miles from Walasi-Yi and the Appalachian Trail. Helton Creek Falls is a 10 mile trek and a short walk away from the cabin and well worth the trip!

Nottely & Nice provides 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a full over full bunkbed in the loft, sleeping 6 to 8 people comfortably. The 2 bedrooms have king sized beds and electric fireplaces/space heaters.

The kitchen is well stocked with new pots and pans and knives, as well as a spice rack for your convenience. There is a standard coffee maker as well as a K-cup brewer provided.

The living area is spacious and both Wi-Fi and satellite TV is available on Roku TVs. In the loft space you will find a three-in-one game table with a gorgeous view of the Nottely River, as well as a wall Scrabble game and a variety of other games, puzzles and books for those cozy evenings or rainy days.

A screened in porch is located just off the main floor bedroom, with comfortable chairs and a couch to enjoy your morning cup of java. The large back deck has several spots to relax and enjoy the River, including our brand new Sundance hot tub. You will also find a gas grill for your use to cook up that catch of the day!

A few steps away, you will find a firepit area, perfect for telling stories and toasting marshmallows.

There are stone steps leading to the Nottely River, where you can dip your toes into the fresh water as it heads towards Lake Nottely. Ducks, otters, trout and great heron have been spotted here as well as a variety of songbirds.

A perfect location to relax, enjoy the great outdoors and each other.

Bathrooms: 2 full with tub/shower; hair dryer in each bathroom.

Towels for the hot tub or river are provided.

  What a majestic place to stay in the mountains. Absolutely loved this cabin. Very clean, nicely decorated. Every piece of decor was well thought out. Right type of furniture in right place. Very speacious. Beds were really comfortable. Clean bathrooms and well maintained.
  
  Kitchen is well stocked with anything you can think of - from salt an pepper to spice rack to oil to coffee or tea. Anything you can think is there in kitchen. I could not imagine how much time, efforts and thoughts the owners put in this place.
  
  Backyard is the beauty - it opens into a river which is the best.
  
  The only drawback is that this place is right on the busy road. You would think people drive slow, but they don't. Loud trucks and cards break the serenity of this place. Otherwise, great place. We are coming back again for sure.

  The cabin is wonderful - very cozy with everything you need and then some. It’s situated right on the river with a hot tub and fire pit and enough room for 6-8 people to spread out. It’s located nicely in Union County so that it’s a short ride to both the wonderful Blairsville square and Vogel State Park. There’s a little road noise, but it’s really not bothersome. A great place to get away - we hope to spend some time here in the fall when the colors should be spectacular!

  My granddaughters were so excited when we pulled into the parking lot and saw the river and the fire pit.. Then the excitement continued when they saw the hot tub. As we came into the cabin, it was beautiful and inviting. I told the granddaughters to check out the bunks upstairs. They loved them and immediately took their things upstairs and selected their bed. I was glad there was a bedroom down stairs because steps are difficult for me. Getting up the steps from the outside to the inside was steep but is necessary due to the river being so close. The view is nice and the kids spent a lot of time in the river and the hot tub. I enjoyed sitting on the large deck, screen porch and in the glider in the yard looking at the kids in the river. We made s’mores in the fire pit. More family came to visit and it was an enjoyable experience. I would recommend this cabin for a wonderful get together.

  Great cabin.. VERY well equipped. It has everything you need for a long weekend, or even longer stay. Close to Blairsville. The river is nice and the hot feels great. Zero complaints about this cabin.
