Little Bear Lodge

Little Bear Lodge is a charming 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin with satellite TV, high speed internet and a gas log fireplace located less than a mile to Lake Chatuge and only 10 minutes away from Young Harris College. Your private oasis is surrounded by the beautiful North Georgia Mountains and offers seasonal mountain and lake views.
This cabin features a lovely queen bedroom with wood beam ceiling and bath on the main level and a loft with queen bed and full bath upstairs, which makes it the perfect mountain getaway for a couple or small family. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers a wide variety of all the essential accessories, as well, including a toaster and coffee maker. The Weber gas grill on the front deck is the perfect addition to BBQ a delicious evening meal.
Leave the hustle and bustle of the big city behind and escape to the North Georgia Mountains to relax in this quaint 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin, nestled in the woods of Young Harris/Hiawassee, Georgia. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee on the screened-in patio and listen to the inviting sounds of nature.
Looking for things to do? This cabin is less than two miles from Ridges Marina so why not rent a pontoon boat, kayak, jet skis, or paddleboards and take in the breathtaking beauty of Lake Chatuge? The Little Bear Lodge is also just minutes from downtown Young Harris and Hiawassee with great choices of restaurants and shopping. For the wine enthusiasts, Crane Creek Vineyards is only 10 minutes up the road for relaxing with a glass of wine while overlooking the scenic views. Helen, GA is a short, 30-minute drive for water tubing and zip-lining with the kids. If you’d like to try your hand at gambling, the Harrah’s Casino in Murphy, NC, is also about a 30-minute drive. If hiking is your passion, Miller’s Trek, Bell Mountain and Brasstown Bald are minutes from your doorstep as are the Appalachian Trail and Blood Mountain. Oh yes, don’t forget to check out the local waterfalls, including Helton Creek Falls and High Shoals Falls. This perfect location offers so much to see and do so plan to stay awhile!
Please note: the driveway is steep but paved and level for parking. Guests should have a minimum AWD type vehicle or use low gear.

  The cabin was exceptionally clean and had all the essentials. The screened in porch made it nice to sit out and have meals and morning coffee. GPS took us right to location and driveway was no issue. Granddaughter enjoyed the games that are provided. We had a fabulous time and I mist definitely will be back and hoping to same cabin.

  We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cabin. Even though we were in the mountains the picture I first saw if the cabin was deceiving. It appeared it was on a flat plane, not on the side of a mountain. The description of the drive was a little deceiving. The drive was steep, not slight. I had 4 wheel drive truck and with the leaves on the drive the wheels did spin. Next time I will bring my leaf blower to keep the deck, steps and drive clear of leaves. Over all it was a delightful stay and a very nice cabin.

  We had nice few days despite the rain we traveled all over North Georgia. We loved the house. It was warm and cozy. We had one little uh-oh when we lost the key. But Gary the property manager called us right back and gave us the name of a locksmith which we appreciated but I do think the property manager should have had an extra key.
