Casita by the Creek

Enjoy the Serenity of this private cabin that perches over Shearer Creek and Relax to the sounds of the fast-flowing waters. This is a well laid out, comfortable cabin that features 2 bedrooms (split plan), both with King Beds, 2 full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen with coffee bar including both a drip and K cup coffee maker, wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer, gas grill, internet and TV with streaming availability, (No cable or satellite). Sit on the covered screened porch and drink your morning coffee while listening to the relaxing sounds of the rushing creek. The creek is right in front of you. You can't build a home this close to the creek anymore. Enjoy Corn Hole, the fire pit located next to the rushing creek, private back deck with gas grill, and the sound of nature. Only one dog of 30 pounds or less is allowed.

  The house worked for us and our two senior pups for a long stay while,our house was being renovated. Great beds, lovely porch, great proximity to town, we’ll stocked kitchen, really good storage.
  Could use some sharp knives and new can opener. The walkway and steps needed weeding and slick moss removal. We did a lot of weed removal. Steps were covered to the road. It’s tough after rain in the summer but the beds and walkways needed attention. The owner did cut the grass which was really tall when we arrived. That was our only issue. Would love to stay again. The walk to the road was lovely with the roaring creek and beautiful early fall weather.

  Beautiful cabin on a lovely lot. Creek sounds very relaxing. Cabin was clean and fairly equipped. Central location and easier to find than most. Reasonable distance to many other resort towns for shopping and sightseeing. Several minor issues: no dish towels in kitchen, no large trash bags for trash in kitchen, trash can dirty with no bag, need a soap dish for master bath. Must remember to bring your passwords for streaming services. These are all minor. Not so minor: code for lockbox that was printed on our direction sheet was incorrect. Called management company and we’re told to hit it with a rock hoping to dislodge key. We did that for about 45 minutes in the heat. Called back and we were told that someone would be sent, but it may be a long time. It finally occurred to us that the code may be wrong. Made a third phone call and asked for the listed code. Completely different than what was given to us!!! Additionally, the password for internet listed in the information book is wrong. We had to get the correct identifier and password from the side of the modem. With that, we were able to access the 2.4 G wireless connection. No 5 G. The cabin itself was delightful with comfy beds, bath towels, and a great view of the creek. Our only complaint is that some information needs to be updated.

The lockbox code was changed the day you were checking in and the new code was emailed, but you may not have received it while you were on the road. I apologize about that. Thankfully we were able to get you the correct code. Not sure about the trash bags, cleaning is supposed to leave trash bags at the cabins. I will address that with them, I do apologize.   This was a perfect place to spend a few days away from everything. There is some hiking near-by, but it was also nice to just sit on the porch and listen to the creek. The kitchen is well stocked and included some supplies you might forget (foil, bags, tupperware). Wi-fi was strong enough to support my daughter's online schooling. We will be back.

  We enjoyed our stay. House was clean and had everything we needed. It rained a couple times but we Loved sitting on the screened porch listening to the creek. We did have a little issue with the key being difficult to turn the locks (we were afraid the key might break off). But other than that it was a wonderful weekend getaway!!
