Casa del Rio

Very nice 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath vacation rental on the Hiwassee River near Hayesville North Carolina. This property features a Hot Tub, Internet access and river frontage. Relax and unwind after a long day of hiking or site seeing in the beautiful North Georgia and western North Carolina Mountains.
Master Bedroom has TV as well as both bedrooms upstairs with ROKU on each.
Check out some of the beautiful waterfalls that this area offers. Take a hike up to Brasstown Bald Mountain the highest point in Georgia and check out the views. Also visit Bell Mountain in Hiawassee and enjoy the views and the refreshing air.
This property now has a Pac Man and a Pro Golf Gaming Console in the main living area.
Hot Tub is drained and cleaned after every reservation.
Hike some of the many trails in the area or just enjoy some of the many shops and entertainment venues in Hiawassee, Blairsville, Hayesville and Murphy.

  It was my husband and two (8 & 9) children during this stay. We had a great time. The home was equipped with everything needed. My husband enjoyed the Blackstone grill. Hot tub was clean and easy to use! Highly recommend for families!

  Overall, it was great! Easy check in/check out process. Great house, awesome location and it was clean. Only comment was it could definitely use more bath towels. Not a big deal as we had a washing machine, but would have been nice to avoid having to do a load everyday :)

  My husband and I came to Hayesville, NC on an anniversary getaway trip. After searching and searching online for a cabin with the amenities we wanted at a price we could afford, we finally found Casa del Rio. Although it was much bigger than what we actually needed for just the two of us, it had basically everything we were looking for and was less expensive than many of the smaller properties we had looked at. Everything was perfect! The cabin was very clean, the hot tub was wonderful, the water flowing was so relaxing, and location was beautiful! I would highly recommend Casa del Rio!!

  Property is as advertised. The last mile or so of the gravel road is quite steep and winding in places, but after the surprise of the first time, it is quite manageable.

  If you are looking for a private getaway, then the Casa Del Rio is the place for you. My wife and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary here in February. The home is literally 30 yds from the Hiawassee River. I suggest taking in the views and sounds of the river and mountain from the hot tub on the back deck. The photos of the home are spot on. There were no surprises. Be prepared to have an internet/phone service free stay, however, a landline phone is provided. This place is wonderfully secluded. There were only two drawbacks. 1.) The home is not child-proofed so our little one had a great adventure of exploring all the drawers and cabinets. 2.) The single-lane gravel/chipped asphalt road is extremely inclined, curvy, and a bit dangerous. Our departure experience was pretty scary due to the snow-covered hills we had to navigate. Traction was limited even in our truck. I recommend a 4x4 if you are visiting in the wintertime. Overall, it was a great experience and we will return.

  Amazing property that is away from it all, but close enough to town to have Sunday brunch at the Hayesville Brewing Company. Large kitchen that leads to a spacious back porch that overlooks a the Hiawassee River. Putting our feet up and listening to the river was so relaxing - geese, turkeys, and deer pop in from time to time. Just amazing.
  
  Amenities are terrific - hot tub, fire pit, outdoor grill and garage parking. Inside, large television, WiFi, and spacious bedrooms. We spent some time wading and swimming in the river - bring an inner-tube if you like to “float” from the head of the subdivision to the house! Gated and a well maintained gravel road leading to the cabin.
  
  Our week there, we hiked, rented a pontoon boat on Lake Chatuge, and checked out some of the farms and wineries...and two breweries. Perfect location to hang out in a hammock or check out local sites. No need to make plans!
